On Wednesday April 2nd, MidDay Café JazzFest @ Judy’s with be celebrating the Reading JazzFest with Bluzin’ - the Lehigh Valley-based Blues Quartet at Judy's on Cherry. On Friday June 6th, a battalion of WWII rein-actors with restored vehicles herald a downtown tradition, the WWII Weekend Kick-Off which officially opens the MidDay Café summer season with the WWII MidDay Café (rain or shine). WWII MidDay CaféCity Day MidDay Café will be on Friday June 20th at 5th & Penn . On Wed. July 23, come out for Flampouris – Bouzouki & Troupe Shadia – Belly Dancing at My Big Fat Greek MidDay Café at the CNA Plaza. Voice of the Diva MidDay Café at the County Services Center on Wednesday August 6th, is jam-packed with Kimberly Killen Scheffey & Vuja De, Dragonfly Studios – Glassblowing demonstration & exhibit of jewelry and art & Sunflower Mime. Be sure to come to CourtYard One on Wednesday August 13th for Margaritaville MidDay Café and on Wednesday September 3rd for Rock, Roll & The Reading Public Library with the Beautiful Buildings of Downtown Reading Award Ceremony. We'll wrap up on Wednesday September 10 for Celtic at The Courthouse MidDay Café at the County Services Center.

Rain Date Policy and Information

You’ll notice that each MidDay Café (except
WWII MDC which is a ‘Rain or Shine’ event) has
been assigned a rain date or rain location.
Rain postponement information will be carried
by WEEU and WRFY or by calling 610-376-6424. Each Tunes & Take Out event will be relocated to a local eatery if rain. Please see our MidDay Café Events page for rain locations.
